Anne loves to sing. In singing, she feels she can say so
much more than she can with words alone. Anne incorporates music and
singing into everything she does. She sings during her yoga classes and
during massage sessions. Chanting is a form of meditation and deep healing
for her personally.
Her students and clients say that Anne’s voice is
soothing, relaxing, healing, inspiring, and uplifting and brings tears to
their eyes. She is also songwriter, and sings ancient devotional Vedic
chants, which are the subject of an upcoming CD she is currently working
on.
Anne was classically trained in piano, but was swayed
toward dropping the traditional when she heard George Winston in concert
at age 13, and is now a pure in-the-moment improviser.
She also somehow plays the guitar and despite never
learning a thing, things just "came to her" while traveling in India
during her first trip there in 1995.
